I have explored the links to various wikis and have the following thoughts about the use of wikis in the library. I think an internal wiki would be very useful for the dissemination of documents, notices, handbooks, etc. It would also facilitate collaboration and communication on internal projects.
I found the community wikis called "Subject Headings" at a few sites to have lots of information but to be visually boring. If, however, the community collaborates on the content and it is kept up to date, it could become a major resource, useful to many.
I have linked my blog to New Canaan Library blog and added "think denk" to the favorites list.

I like the idea of a community wiki-- using the local knowledge of everyone reading organizations, events, resources, etc to create a clearing house.
