I accessed NetLibrary and was able to set up an account even though I do not hold an NCL card.
To get the computer ready I first had to download the NetLibrary media player. I started the download but it aborted, telling me I needed to upgrade to Windows Media Player 11. I did the upgrade and restarted the download. This time it proceeded without a hitch. I looked at the available titles and I chose to download "Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian". The download finished very quickly, I thought, and the file is now sitting in the NetLibrary media player on my desktop. I am going to try to move it to my ipod tomorrow.
