Technorati, blog aggregator and search engine tries to convince us that there is a way to get a handle on the blogosphere. They offer various tools to publish, tag and search the millions of blogs out there. Is it just me, or does this seem like a Sisyphean task? With over 100K blogs per day being created is there really any way to keep up with just the ones tagged to your own interests? Technorati seems to think so with links along the top of the page to different catagories of blog. But they also think a lot of people just want to know what everyone else is reading, linking to, tagging and to this end they have created Popular lists generated by a Google-type hierarchy. There are lists of the most popular blogs by fans, by authority, top searches, top tags etc. Also movies, videos, news, games, DVDs, books.... Hmmmm, I still don't know....
