I was reading School Library Journal (Oct 2008) today, yes, for homework and I came across an article by Helene Blowers, the creator of The 23 Things. In it she states that her employees received an MP3 player for completing the course. This allowed them to take advantage of the downloadable audio books the library had just acquired and practice their new skills by actually doing the download!

Offering a reward and making the program a voluntary one seem to be two key components of a successful 23 Things campaign.

Sharon-- agreed. It is a fun learning program, not so much step by step training.
ReplyDeleteAudrey-- thanks for being a part of the journey, and I am looking forward to reading your blog!
